Designed for the USCAR program, October-December 2001. Of course that program was cancelled like right after we started it.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! was a pretty sweet program, mandating that Ford, GM, and Chrysler worked together to make efficient, recyclable cars that seated four people and met certain standards.
They made some cars like this:
For a 6-week program designing an 80MPG, 80% recyclable Jeep, with a 1/4-scale clay model, I don’t think it’s too bad, now, 14 years later.

Love the first two, they look very Citroen. #3 looks like it became the 500.

Yeah, I felt the same way. The one of my instructors was the designer of the Precept— it was like a Tatra for 2001. Never saw the Intrepid concept in person, they didn’t bring it to the Detroit show.

A taillight? Or the doohickey above it? I was looking at wooden speedboats from the 30s-40s, and thinking about like pins and stuff holding the soft top in place.
